  • Alzheimers Awareness Club

    Alzheimer’s Awareness Club focuses on educating the SFD community about the many effects of Alzheimer’s disease. Club participants plan fundraisers to support the Alzheimer’s Foundation. In this club, members also participate in service opportunities for those affected by this disease.

  • Campus Ministry

    The Evangelization Team is made up of students who help lead retreats and prayer services. They assist with Mass as Readers, Altar Servers, Candle and Gift Bearers. Members will get together for times of faith, fun, fellowship, and food throughout the year. If you are interested in being an ambassador for Christ, see the Office of Campus Ministry.

  • Environmental Club

    The Environmental Club fosters the Catholic social teaching of Care for Creation. By being stewards of the Earth, students learn about and respect its resources and systems, and are guided by concern for the welfare of others. The club promotes recycling within the community and hosts nature hikes and clean up projects. The club has formed a partnership with Teen Eco Summit at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to create sustainable conservation action plans to make our campus a more eco-friendly environment.

  • Fraterntitas

    Fraternitas (Latin for "Brotherhood") is a club for young men at DeSales that seeks to build Christian masculinity through lives of virtue. Young men gather weekly for prayer, donuts, and discussion and are challenged to perform feats of strength, intellectual prowess, and heroic virtue. Some of these include root beer tasting, basic carpentry, and debating the merits of Nietzsche's metaphysical worldview (or lack thereof).

  • Golden Hearts Club

    Golden Hearts Club is a service club that works with OSU’s BuckeyeThon, the largest student-run philanthropy in Ohio. In this club, students help plan, organize, and lead events to raise both money and awareness for pediatric cancer. All donations raised go to the Oncology, Hematology, and Bone Marrow Transplant Department of Nationwide Children's Hospital.

    HOLA is the new empowerment group of the Hispanic community at DeSales. We are here to express our experiences of being young Hispanics and uniting the community through our Hispanic and Latino culture. We aim to create the next generation of leaders for our world. We strive to unite our community through various fun and faith-based activities organized throughout the year.

  • Knights of the Holy Temple

    The Men’s Altar Servers Club (Knights of the Holy Temple) is a club where young men will primarily serve at the Altar in the Holy sacrifice of the Mass, as well as other rituals. Students will meet regularly to discuss not only practical and historical aspects of serving at the altar, but also learn about other elements of the Theology and Traditions of the Catholic Faith and put them into practice.

  • Mind over matter

    Mind over Matter is a club for all students at DeSales. It’s aim is to help students’ mental well-being throughout the school year, provide information and awareness for mental illness, and raise money for mental illness research foundations. The club will hold a few after school meetings for students to support one another and build connections. Come join Mind over Matter to improve the community within DeSales and create a healthy environment for yourself and your peers!

  • Play It Forward

    SFD Play it Forward is a club where students can come together to make a difference. Our mission is to donate new and gently used sports equipment to less fortunate children from feeder schools. Please join us on our journey as we try to make a difference and give every kid a chance to learn the lessons of discipline, leadership, and teamwork.

  • rising youth

    We are a group of smart, motivated, fun, and full of life 11–18 year old students. We have adult role models and work in a diverse and positive environment. This is a program of the Dominican Sisters of Peace through the Martin de Porres Center. Rising Youth's mission is to move forward in life by bettering ourselves, each other, and our community. The program leaders and mentors guide our Latino youth in developing academically, personally, and socially to help give youth confidence, direction, and hope in their present lives as well as future endeavors. The program provides free tutoring, mentoring, leadership sessions, and academic guidance. When One Rises We All Rise!

  • RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES / Stallions for wellness

    Our mission is to promote wellness through healthy eating habits and mindfulness. Our primary outreach serves the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). Members will learn healthy snack habits by baking and preparing food and snacks packs consisting of whole grains, fruits and vegetables for parents at the RMH. Members will promote mindfulness by preparing positive affirmation cards for children in NCH.

  • run the race club

    This is a service club that supports the Run the Race Club founded through the Brian Muha Foundation. Students have an opportunity to volunteer at the Run the Race Center to work with inner city children. Participants host racers at SFDHS events, run projects (birthday bags, festival games, etc) for the club and end the year with a house makeover for a family.

  • ST. VINCENT dePAUL

    The DeSales St. Vincent de Paul Club is the first youth service organization of its kind in the Diocese of Columbus. Established in 1998 through the efforts of the St. Vincent DePaul Adult Conference of St. James, the club’s emphasis is on service and advocacy to and for the poor, both locally and globally. Service projects are developed by officers and members of the club.

  • S.O.B.E.

    The goal of the Student Organization for Black Empowerment (S.O.B.E.) is to be a light of relatability and fellowship for African American Students at SFDHS. This group will be a safe space to discuss the unique, yet shared experiences in the Black community. SOBE will have a hand in community outreach specifically among the youth bringing about awareness and support.

  • SORORITAS

    Sororitas (Latin for “Sisterhood”) is a bible study for young women at DeSales. Gathering weekly, Sororitas will focus on prayer, scripture readings, and discussion.

    Stallions for Life is a service club dedicated to spreading the pro-life mentality that “Every Life is Sacred from Conception to Natural Death.” This is a faith based club that promotes service as well as fellowship. We are focused on living out the pro-life message in our school and in our world

  • Stallions for Social Justice

    Stallions for Social Justice is designed to allow the DeSales community to come together to address social injustices within our community and the world around us. Meeting twice a month, the club has a planning period and an action period during which the students will work to contest issues they feel most pressing. For those students who are involved in other co-curricular activities, a secondary way of meeting, virtually, will be available so that there can be meetings later in the evening to ensure all students who want to participate can participate.
