Department Mission Statement
The mission of the Theology Department at St. Francis DeSales High School is embodied in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ: “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) As Catholic Christian Educators, we are called to live and teach the challenges of the Gospel, leading our community to a life of justice, compassion and service to others. In alignment with the directives of the Bishop of the Diocese of Columbus, the Theology Curriculum is in accordance with the 2008 United States Conference of Catholic Bishops: “ Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework” for teaching Theology to high school students.
